1 . Description:

4J36 is a special low-expansion iron-nickel alloy with ultra-low expansion coefficient. The control of carbon and manganese is very important. Cold deformation can reduce the coefficient of thermal expansion, and heat treatment can stabilize the thermal expansion coefficient within a certain temperature range.

4J36 is mainly applicable to the glass sealing alloys which is sealed with hard glass, soft glass and ceramics. It belongs to low expansion alloy.The states has one-quarter hard state, two/four hard states, three/four hard states, hard state and soft five kinds of silk materials; the soft state is less than 585MPA, and the hard state is greater than 860MPA. 4J36 glass sealed alloy in 60- 80 degrees of atmospheric temperature with low expansion coefficient and good plasticity, used to make changes in the temperature range size, approximate to constant elements is widely used in radio, precision instrument, instruments and other industries, glass sealed alloy used to make the standard measuring tools, microwave resonators, bimetallic strip passive layer, etc.

INVAR 36 nickel alloy plate (UNS K93603) is an austenitic nickel-iron alloy containing 36% nickel. It has an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion from -418°F (-250°C) to 392°F (200°C). The alloy has good fatigue and mechanical properties at cryogenic temperatures. It exhibits moderately high strength along with good ductility and toughness. These properties along with good fabrication characteristics make INVAR 36 nickel alloy plate ideal for applications requiring precise dimensional stability.

INVAR 36 nickel alloy plate can be hot and cold worked, machined, and formed. Fabrication processes are similar to austenitic stainless steels. The alloy can be welded using filler wire with expansion rates similar to those of the base metal.

INVAR 36 nickel alloy plate resists corrosion in dry atmospheres at room temperature. In humid or moist atmospheres, corrosion can occur in the form of rust.

4. Invar 36 has the following features:

1. Good corrosion resistance of reducing, oxidizing and nitriding media.

2. Good stress corrosion crackingresistance at room temperature and high temperature.

3. Good resistance to dry chlorine gas and hydrogen chloride gas corrosion.

4. It has good mechanical properties at minus, room temperature and high temperature.

5. Has the very good creep rupture strength, recommended above 700 ℃ working environment.
