Zirconia locating pin is an insulated positioning component engineered for automated fixtures of resistance spot welding and nut projection welding.  At sheet metal nut and stud welding stations, it serves dual roles: establishing workpiece datum and isolating electric current. It effectively blocks bypass welding current and prevents arc damage to threads and sheet metal base material. Custom profiles including tapered tips, steps, flanges and special transitions are available with micron-level geometric tolerance.
